mug

The mug I created was not all that difficult. The most difficult part, was in fact making the designs around the mug. I had to pinch at it until the design came out. It was the most difficult part because it took time and dedication, so the design would turn out exactly the same all around the mug. After I fired it I then glazed it. The color I chose was a green teal color. It was also very easy to glaze. The mug turned out very well and a perfect size to use for drinking coffee out of it.

pitch pot

Making my pitch pot took time and technique. First I made the round pot using my fingers to open it and my thumb toround out the edges. Then i made the design around it with a needle, which constisted of over-lapped lines. Finally I dipped the pot in the high-fire glaze and put it in the kiln. This was my end result which I really liked. Making this pitch pot was not the most difficult, yet it did take time and dedication.

wire sculpture

This is my wire sculpture which I made using wire, paper machee, and paint.  The sculpture took about 2 weeks.  The difficult part about making the sculpture was that the wire was tough to work with, it was dirty, and very messy with the paper machee.  It took a week to dry and then finally paint.  I chose the color pink for my butterfly because it contrasts with the black wire.  I realized it was harder than I imagined.  This project was my hardest thus far.
